My work and achievements

As a Snodland Town Councillor, I am proud to work with residents, listen to their concerns and turn local issues into action. My work includes campaigning for improved street lighting in Catts Alley, scrutinising local planning and development proposals, and raising concerns about infrastructure and local services. I have also worked to help residents understand Kent’s Local Government Reorganisation and what it means for Snodland, while continuing to raise issues around safer, cleaner streets and our community facilities. Alongside my council work, I volunteer within the local community and remain committed to ensuring that residents’ views are heard and properly represented in local decision-making.

As a Snodland Town Councillor, my role is to represent the interests of local residents and make sure their voices are heard in local decision-making. I listen to residents’ concerns, raise issues with the appropriate authorities and work with fellow councillors, council officers and community organisations to find practical solutions. This includes representing residents on matters such as planning and development, local services, public spaces, roads and street lighting. I also aim to keep residents informed about important changes affecting our community, including Local Government Reorganisation. Above all, I believe being a councillor means being accessible, listening to people and making sure their concerns are properly represented.

My work as a councillor is about giving local residents a stronger voice in the decisions that affect their lives. I have raised residents’ concerns with the relevant authorities, brought local issues into the council’s decision-making process and helped residents understand important changes such as Local Government Reorganisation. Through work including the campaign for improved lighting in Catts Alley, scrutiny of planning and development proposals, and raising concerns about safer and cleaner streets, I have helped ensure that local issues remain firmly on the agenda.

Looking ahead, I want to build on this work by focusing on practical improvements that make a visible difference to everyday life in Snodland. This includes better roads, lighting, public spaces and community facilities, supporting local initiatives, scrutinising new development to ensure infrastructure keeps pace with growth, and continuing to provide residents with clear and honest information. Most importantly, I want to make sure residents’ concerns are heard, properly represented and followed up with the organisations responsible for delivering local services.
